Welcome to the 2013 Team Introduction Blog Hop. Happy, happy new year everyone. I hope you all had a happy holiday season. There's nothing like new beginnings to get your inspiration flowing. My word for 2013 is Transformation. I started with a new hair style. Then I am participating in Move More Eat Well 2.0 with Cathy Zielske. In February I am doing a Things I Love daily album. And I for one am ready to think outside the box in 2013. So let's get going. You should have arrived here from Janey's blog, but if not, start your journey at the Memory Works blog.

The first project I would like to share with you is an altered file folder that I cut down and glue onto a basic 12 x 12 page. It's like a mini album and layout all in one and it fits beautifully in a 12 x12 album. Wondering how to flip open the folder while it's inside a page protector? Just cut a slit the width of the folder and then slide the layout in, making sure to let the file flaps slide through the slit. The rest of the layout slides into the page protector like normal.

This next layout uses Simple Stories Summer Fresh. I love this page and the kids in it.

I am a big proponent of scrapping the scrapbooker. It's important for us to be in front of the camera to capture our own stories, past and present.

Finally a little tag with an envelope to hold a gift card for the holidays is a must. Yes, the holidays are over. But use a different line of paper products and embellishments and it's a gift card holder for any occasion.

Thanks for visiting. Now head on over to Katie's blog.

  16. Hello there! Just wanted to drop by and say thank you for your kind comments over at PRT! I was called very last minute so I was a bit rambly and giddy but I hope I made some sense. I love the altered file folder! Great colors and you did a fantastic job telling the story! I also agree that scrapping the scrapbooker is important- the kiddos will wonder bout our motivations and personal history as much as their baby moments!
